Fans remember SPB on his first death anniversary
It has been a year since legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam AKA SPB left for his heavenly abode. On his first death anniversary, fans took to social media to remember him with special tributes.
From sharing their favourite songs to talking about SPB, his ardent fans have been trending the hashtag #SPBalasubrahmanyam on Twitter since early morning.
Actor Kamal Haasan penned a shot note about SPB, as he is fondly called by everyone on his social networking page.
Sharing a couple of pictures of himself with SP Balasubramaniam, actor Kamal Haasan posted in Tamil, which loosely translate to, “The person who is intimately involved in something will become that itself. My brother Balu adopted his life just to sing. That’s why he has turned into a voice. He had left his body physically, but stays with us forever.”
SPB died on September 25, 2020, after a long battle with Covid-19.
On August 5, 2020, SP Balasubrahmanyam was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai after his Covid-19 test result came back positive.
He took to Facebook to share a video message from the hospital saying that he will be back soon. However, his condition deteriorated and he was put on ventilator.
