Though there were rumors that Superstar Rajinikanth’s new film Annaatthe would be postponed from Deepavali, the makers have confirmed once again in the recently released poster that the film will hit the screens for the festival of lights.
Te first single from Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Annaatthe is all set to release today at 6 pm. Sources say it is an energetic single that would strike an instant chord among the masses.
Sharing a poster featuring Rajinikanth, the official Twitter handle of Sun Pictures wrote, “#AnnaattheFirstSingle sung by the legendary Padma Vibhushan Thiru #SPBalasubrahmanyam is releasing on October 4th at 6 PM!.”
What makes it bittersweet is that this is the last song that legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam recorded before his demise. As reported earlier, SP Balasubrahmanyam AKA SPB sung Rajinikanth’s introduction song in Annaatthe, composed by D Imman.
The song was supposed to be released last week on the occasion of the late singer’s death anniversary, however, the makers didn’t release it.
Directed by Siva, the film is expected to a family-action drama on the lines of Rajinikanth’s earlier hits like Padayappa and Arunachalam. Produced by Sun Pictures, Annaatthe has an ensemble cast comprising names like Khushbu, Meena, Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj and Soori in important roles.
