Chief Minister Vijay to review industries in Sriperumbudur-Oragadam Corridor

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay is scheduled to visit several major manufacturing facilities in the Sriperumbudur-Oragadam industrial region on Monday, August 3, as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen industrial development and attract investments.

His first stop will be Saint-Gobain India’s World Glass Complex at Irungattukottai, one of the company’s flagship production units in the country. He will later inspect the SIPCOT project office at Mambakkam near Sriperumbudur to assess ongoing infrastructure and industrial expansion initiatives.

The Chief Minister will also tour the Daimler Buses India plant in Oragadam before visiting Nissan’s automobile manufacturing facility near Sriperumbudur.

The Sriperumbudur-Oragadam belt is among Tamil Nadu’s most significant industrial hubs, hosting several global companies in the automobile, engineering and manufacturing sectors. The region plays a vital role in the state’s economy by generating employment and supporting industrial growth.

Officials said the visit is intended to evaluate industrial operations, review infrastructure projects and reinforce the government’s commitment to making Tamil Nadu an attractive destination for manufacturing and investment.
