Anugraha Nambiar accuses resort actor Vijay Kumar of cheating and failing to make payments

Malayalam actress Anugraha S. Nambiar has made serious claims against Vijay Kumar, his spouse Nakshatra Murthy, and the creators of the Tamil web series Resort, alleging fraud, non-payment, and emotional distress.

In detailed videos posted on social media, the actress expressed that the ordeal left her feeling emotionally devastated and financially burdened.

Her disclosures have raised concerns online, particularly as she discussed reaching a breaking point due to the alleged treatment. Anugraha also received backing from other actresses facing similar challenges.

In her video, Anugraha mentioned that she had entered into a one-year agreement with the production company Global Villagers for the series Resort.

She shared that she hails from a small village in Kerala and was required to audition multiple times in Chennai, with the team assuring her that she was close to securing a lead role.

However, she claimed that despite being under contract, she was not called for filming for several months. Concurrently, she alleged that she was barred from pursuing other acting opportunities due to the exclusivity clause in her contract.

The actress disclosed that the situation deteriorated over time, especially in the last few months, leaving her without work or income.

She also accused the creators of failing to pay her as stipulated in the contract. According to her, the combination of unemployment and financial uncertainty created significant stress, leading to a challenging mental state.

Anugraha further claimed that she encountered disrespectful comments and behavior from Vijay Kumar and his wife. She recounted a troubling incident during her hospital stay, where she alleged that inappropriate remarks were made regarding her condition.

“She told my friend, who took me to the hospital, to either marry me or ask me to do the series,” Anugraha stated. The actress mentioned that the stress and alleged mistreatment had a severe effect on her health, resulting in complications. Describing her distress, Anugraha expressed that she felt mentally, physically, and financially immobilized due to the experience. She added that at one point, the situation had driven her to a critical state.
