AIADMK coordinator and Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam today said a decision on his partybeing part of the BJP-led government in the Centre will be taken on May 23.
Speaking to the media, he said, “A decision in this regard will be taken on May 23 at the AIADMK leaders meeting.” Panneerselvam expressed hope that the AIADMK and the BJP alliance would sweep the polls.
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, Panneerselvam, PMK youth wing leader Anbumani Ramadoss, DMDK treasurer Premalatha Vijayakanth and other leaders will tonight attend a dinner to be hosted by BJP national president Amit Shah in New Delhi.
Top leaders of the BJP-led NDA will meet over dinner tonight with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah expected to be present.
Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) president Nitish Kumar, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and Lok Janshakti Party head Ram Vilas Paswan are also likely to attend the meeting, which will take place two days before the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha polls on May 23.
Before the dinner, Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are also scheduled to meet the Union council of ministers. Exit polls have predicted a comfortable win for the NDA in the Lok Sabha elections, the results of which will be announced on May 23.
