Why both Bigil and Kaithi got UA certificate from Censor?

Vijay’s Bigil and Karthi’s Kaithi have received U/A certificate from the Censor board. Following this, both the films are getting ready to hit the screens for Deepavali.

According to sources, while U/A certificate was given to Bigil for a few scenes which require parental guidance, the same has been accorded to Kaithi for a couple of violent scenes. “But both films are fit for family viewing,” sources close to the units said.

Meanwhile, the trailer of Bigil is creating new records among all the films released in South India. In a short span, the trailer has garnered 2 million likes on YouTube. Currently, two Indian film trailers have got two million likes on YouTube — Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero and Vijay’s Bigil.

Kaithi is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is currently directing Vijay for ‘Thalapathy-64’. On Kaithi starring Karthi clashing in the box-office with Vijay’s Bigil during Deepavali, he said, “A director’s job is to complete the film. Producers decide the release date. Since ‘Kaithi’ is slated to release in both Tamil and Telugu, they felt Deepavali release will be apt.”

While Kaithi was initially planned to release on July 19, the makers had recently officially announced that film will it the screens for Deepavali.

Bigil, which has Nayanthara as heroine, has been slated for Deepavali release from the beginning itself. Vijay Sethupathi’s Sanga Thamizhan has joined the race recently, with its makers announcing that the film will see the light of the day on the day of lights.

However, the film has now backed from Deepavali race, due to some unavoidable reasons. It is now slated to hit the screens in November.
