The dinner meet hosted by BJP national president Amit Shah, in which top leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part, has become the talk of the country.
From Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, who are the heads of the AIADMK, Premalatha Vijayakanth (DMDK), Anbumani Ramadoss (PMK), Sarath Kumar (AISMK) and Devanathan Yadhav attended the party.
According to sources, formation of new government after the election results were announced tomorrow and alliance partners being part of the government among other things were discussed during the meet.
Earlier, before leaving for Delhi, AIADMK coordinator Panneerselvam said a decision on his partybeing part of the BJP-led government in the Centre will be taken on May 23.
Speaking to the media, he said, “A decision in this regard will be taken on May 23 at the AIADMK leaders meeting.” Panneerselvam expressed hope that the AIADMK and the BJP alliance would sweep the polls.
The exit polls have predicted that the BJP-led alliance will return to power after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The exit poll of polls put NDA safely above the majority mark at 312.
