“Warrant” web series zee5 Review

A retired school headmaster, played beautifully by Balaji Sakthivel, dreams of seeing his only son Kottai Karuppusamy become a respected government officer. He encourages his son to attend every possible examination with great hope and determination. However, despite repeated efforts, Kottai is unable to clear the exams. Wanting to give him a stable future, his supportive uncle, wonderfully portrayed by Kaali Venkat, helps him join the police department as a constable.

Kottai, played by Prasanth Pandiraj, enters the police force with innocence, sincerity, and a pure heart. Though he struggles in the beginning and fails to complete even simple assignments properly, his honesty and determination slowly begin to shine. His fellow policemen mock him with the nickname “Kottai,” making him feel embarrassed and discouraged. Yet, instead of giving up, he takes a bold decision that changes his life completely and drives the story toward an inspiring climax.

Prasanth Pandiraj, who earlier impressed audiences through the web series Warrant, has not only acted brilliantly in this project but has also written the story and screenplay with remarkable depth. His performance feels natural and realistic, especially in emotional moments with his parents. The scenes where he nervously chases a thief and unexpectedly succeeds create both tension and humor, making the audience deeply connect with his character.

One of the strongest moments arrives in the courtroom sequence, where Kottai’s innocence unexpectedly turns into a hilarious and unforgettable comedy scene. From inspectors to senior police officers, everyone is left speechless by his actions. As the story progresses, Kottai slowly transforms into a clever and courageous policeman whose unique investigative methods surprise everyone around him.

The supporting cast, including Aruldas and other actors playing police officers, deliver convincing performances that strengthen the narrative. Director Vignesh Natarajan presents the story with engaging twists, emotions, humor, mystery, and thrilling moments. Cinematographer Ashok Kumar captures the scenes effectively, while the background score adds excitement throughout.

Released on ZEE5 Warrant successfully combines crime, suspense, comedy, sentiment, and thrilling entertainment, making it an engaging experience for Tamil audiences.
