Vijay, who stirred controversies by holding cigarretes in the posters of Thupakki and Sarkar, has now storked a fresh controversy, as the actor does clutch on to a sleep alcohol container in the recently released Master poster.
In the poster, which announced that a single titled Oru Kutti Katha would be released on February 14, Vijay is seen relaxing, listening to music and holding on to an alcohol container. This has got some haters calling the actor’s poster inappropriate.
The album marks the reunion of Vijay and composer Anirudh Ravichander after their hit Kaththi album. The title Oru Kutti Kathai marks resonance for fans of both Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi.
The former, as Vijay has a habit of narrating a ‘kutti kathai’ (shorty story) at recent audio launches, much to the delight of his fans. Whereas Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Oru kathai sollutama, sir?’ dialogue from Vikram Vedha is still fondly celebrated for its ‘punch’ quotient.
Vijay recently made headlines when he became the focus of tax evasion investigation led by officials of the income tax department. He was even pulled out of Master shooting in Neyveli and taken to his Chennai residence as part of the raids. The raids were also conducted at the properties of AGS Entertainment and Anbu Chezhiyan, who funded Vijay’s previous movie, Bigil.
Before revealing the single track release date, the makers first teased the fans with a picture which stated “Enna Nanba Readya?” (Are you ready, bro). This picture left the fans guessing as to what announcement would be made.
Vijay recently rejoined the sets of Master in Neyveli, after missing the shoot for a couple of days due to IT raids at his residence in Chennai. The actor took a rare selfie with his fans upon returning to the place of shoot, and later posted it on social media, which went viral.
