Vishal’s ‘Lingaa’ Song from Magudam Crosses One Million Views Within Days; Rapper Vinoth (V7H) Delighted by the Overwhelming Response
The excitement surrounding actor Vishal’s upcoming film Magudam continues to grow with every new update. One of the major reasons behind the anticipation is that Vishal is not only playing the lead role but is also directing the film. Adding to the buzz, the film’s first single, “Lingaa…”, has received a phenomenal response from audiences, crossing one million views within just two days of its release.
At a time when several young musicians and singers are making their mark in Tamil cinema, rapper Vinoth, popularly known as V7H, has emerged as a favorite among youngsters with the massive success of “Lingaa…”.
Blending Tamil and English lyrics with a powerful rap style, the song introduces and celebrates the character of Lingaa, highlighting his charisma, attitude, and larger-than-life presence. Written by Vinoth himself, the track has been sung by both V7H and music director G.V. Prakash Kumar.
As the song continues to trend among young audiences, Vinoth opened up about the track and his musical journey.
“I have been learning music since my 12th standard. Music is not just my passion; it is a major part of my life. So far, I have released two music albums and five independent video songs. While I am known for rap, I enjoy singing all kinds of songs. My first opportunity in cinema came through Silukkuvarpatti Singam, for which I sang a song. However, I had to focus entirely on my restaurant business, which prevented me from continuing my journey in films,” he said.
Recalling his association with Vishal, Vinoth added:
“I met Vishal Anna several years ago. At that time, he encouraged me to continue singing in films and told me that I had the talent and should never give up. Despite his motivation, my business commitments kept me away from cinema. Recently, Vishal Anna called me and offered me the opportunity to work on the ‘Lingaa’ song. He explained the concept of the song, which portrays his transformation into a powerful don-like character in the film, and encouraged me to bring it to life. His confidence in me played a huge role in making the song special.
After listening to the final version, he once again advised me to pursue a career in cinema. Music director G.V. Prakash Kumar also appreciated my work and expressed interest in collaborating with me in the future.”
Speaking about his continued passion for music, Vinoth said:
“Even though I stepped away from cinema, I never moved away from music. Despite being busy with my business, I have continued writing, composing, and developing songs. I currently have nearly 40 original songs ready. Vishal Anna listened to these compositions before offering me this opportunity. I am now planning to release them soon. In addition, I will be creating a music album for Vishal Anna’s production banner.”
