Vishal has apparently become the first film personality in Tamil to extend support to actress Kangana Ranaut, who is putting a brave fight with Maharashtra government.
“Dear Kangana, Hats off to your guts, you have never thought twice to voice out what is right & what is wrong. It wasn’t your personal issue, but even then facing the wrath of the government, you stayed strong which makes it a very big example,” he wrote.
The Action and Sandakozhi actor added: “It’s something similar to what Bhagat Singh did in the 1920s. This will set an example for people to speak against the government when something is not right and not necessarily being a celebrity but also as a common man.”
Kangana Ranaut’s production office was demolished by the BMC after a stop-work notice to her 14 violations. The civic body carried out the demolition process while the owner was still on her flight from Himachal Pradesh to Mumbai on Wednesday.
This happened following the entire Shiv Sena vs Kangana row that emerged when the actor compared Mumbai to PoK, and the Centre granted Y+ security to her on her way back to the city.
The Bombay High Court on Wednesday stayed the demolition process initiated by the BMC for illegal construction at actor Kangana Ranaut’s bungalow here and sought to know why did the city civic body enter the property when the owner was not present.
After the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished “illegal” portions of Kangana Ranaut’s Mumbai office, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has said that he never threatened the actress. He said that he only expressed anger at Mumbai being linked to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).
He also said that Kangana is welcome to live in Mumbai and the matter is over for him. Sanjay Raut said, “I have never threatened #KanganaRanaut. I only expressed my anger at #Mumbai being likened to POK. I am not responsible for what action #BMC takes. Matter is over for me, Kangana is welcome to live in Mumbai: #Sanjay Raut”.
