The Madras High Court has issued a notice to Tamil Film Producers Council president and actor Vishal in a case filed by actor Silamabrasan aka STR.
In his plea against Vishal and Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan producer Michael Rayappan, Silamabarasan said that Rayappan was unnecessarily making statements aimed at tarnishing his image.
“Rayappan is yet to pay a huge sum of my salary. During the problems post the release of AAA, Vishal involved in Kangaroo Court and acted in favour of Rayappan,” he said.
Silamabarasan has also sought of compensation of Rs one crore. Vishal and Rayappan have been asked to respond to Simbu’s petition.
In STR’s plea, he mentioned Michael Rayappan’s baseless allegation defaming his status in the industry and also Vishal’s interference in the matter.
STR also moved the court to order Rayappan to settle Rs 1 crore compensation for the mental agony the actor underwent during the issue.
Last year, Rayappan alleged that STR did not cooperate during the shoot of Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan and hence, his production house incurred a huge loss. Later, Tamil Film Producers Council’s President Vishal also interfered in this matter and tried to amicably sort out the issue.
