With superstar Rajinikanth’s next week release Kaala facing troubles in Karnataka over his pro-Tamil Nadu stand in Cauvery issue, Vishal has come to the film’s support.
The president of Tamil Film Producers Council and general secretary of Nadigar Sangam said, “What Rajini sir spoke about Cauvery issue is called responsibility and freedom of speech.”
He said further: “How can they stop Kaala release in Karnataka in retaliation? I sincerely hope the Karnataka film chamber and fellow brothers resolve this issue.we all are Indian eventually. God Bless.”
Meanwhile, reacting to the protest, Rajini said, “Only yesterday, they have taken this decision. Let’s see, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce is a part of South Indian Film Chamber commerce. I hope they will resolve this issue.”
He expressed hope that the issue of a ban on the release of his upcoming film “Kaala” in Karnataka will be solved.
In the meantime, reports suggest that the makers of Rajini’s upcoming film to be directed by Karthik Subbaraj are planning to kickstart the shoot from the first week of June.
If reports are anything to go by, the project is likely to go on the floors in Uttarakhand. To be made on a massive scale, the film is being produced by Sun Pictures and stars Vijay Sethupathi in a pivotal role.
