Vishal Film Factory, a film production company owned by actor Vishal, has lodged a police complaint alleging that ₹45 lakh was misappropriated by a woman staff member, and asked the police to take criminal action.
It has been reported that the woman, who has been working in his production company, has swindled Rs 45 lakh from the company over a period of six years. The company’s manager has filed a case at the Virugambakkam police station in Chenna.
It has been alleged that the woman transferred the money to her personal account instead of paying the amount to the income tax department. In the complaint, Vishal’s manager Hari has stated that the woman has bought a house worth Rs 45 lakhs.
He feels she might have used funds from the company to pay for this purchase. Hari has conveyed his suspicion to the cops and asked them to investigate the matter.
Vishal and others in the production house thought that they had files 45 lakhs as TDS but later during the audit, they found that all were fake documents. Vishal Film Factory is currently producing cyber crime action thriller Chakra and Thupparivaalan 2.
Vishal Film Factory is a film production, distribution and music company established by actor Vishal in 2013. It has produced Sandakozhi-2, Poojai, and other films. The company is disbursing regular salaries to its staff after deducting tax.
