Superstar Rajinikanth who is busy shooting for his untitled film in Kurseong, Darjeeling with director Karthik Subbaraj is staying at the Allita Hotels and Resorts.
He was staying at the Director’s Bungalow at the resort. To honour Superstar, the bungalow has now been renamed as ‘Rajinikanth Villa #3’. To mark this special occasion, a tree was planted in the resort, in memory of Superstar.
And what more? Rajini’s favourite tea from the in-house Chia Bar has now been renamed as Thalaivaa Special.
Talking about this, Mehul Parekh, Managing director of Allita Hotels & Resorts, told a daily, “We are extremely grateful to host someone of his stature. This is an achievement in itself for us. This is just a small gesture on our part to show our gratitude towards the star he is.”
It is learnt that Rajinikanth will be back in the first week of July at Allita to shoot for the next leg of his film, directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Sun Pictures.
Raju Mahalingam, former creative head of Lyca Productions and Secretary of Rajini Makkal Mandram tweeted “The resort where Thalaivar put up in Kurseong has now named a villa after him. The superstar stayed at Allita Hotels & Resorts for 10 days for the shoot of his upcoming SUN productions film. The Villa has now been renamed as ‘Rajinikanth Villa # 3’ in his honour”
