Vikram’s much awaited Saamy Square directed by Hari hit the screens amid expectations today and early morning shows were screened in Chennai and other parts, much to the delight of ‘Chiyaan’ fans.
Even as the actor is getting ready to play the role of Karnan in a movie to be made based on the great epic Mahabharatham, there is also a buzz that he would act in the remake of Don’t Breathe.
According to sources, Vikram’s new project with Thoongaa Vanam director Rajesh M Selva is that the film is the remake of the American horror film Don’t Breathe which was directed by Fede Álvarez.
In the meantime, Vikram’s next release will be the long pending Dhruva Natchathiram directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, in which he has played a RAW official.
Don’t Breathe is a 2016 American horror film directed by Fede Álvarez, and co-written by Álvarez and Rodo Sayagues.
The film stars Jane Levy, Dylan Minnette, Daniel Zovatto, and Stephen Lang, and focuses on three friends who get trapped inside a blind man’s house while breaking into it.
The film was produced by Ghost House Pictures and Good Universe. The film premiered at South by Southwest on March 12, 2016, and was theatrically released on August 26, 2016, by Screen Gems and Stage 6 Films. It received largely positive critical reviews and grossed over $157 million.
