Vikram’s next is a trilingual thriller with young director

‘Chiyaan’ Vikram’s next film will be an action thriller with Imaikaa Nodigal director Ajay Gnanamuthu. The project will go on floors in August of this year and there are plans to release the film in April 2020.

According to Arun Viswa, creative producer of the project, “This one will be a big-budget project that will be shot in Tamil, but also released in Telugu and Hindi.

The content of the project has a universal appeal, which is why we wanted to release the film in three languages. Scripting is still on, and so, the rest of the cast and crew will be finalised by the second week of June.

We are planning to begin shoot by August, and have already decided to release the film in April 2020. The film will be shot in India and abroad.”

To be jointly produced by Lalit’s 7 Screen Studios and Viacom18 Movies, the first look poster of the film has also been unveiled but without revealing the title.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that the shoot of Vikram’s much-hyped magnum opus Mahavir Karna has been postponed to next year as Vikram has allocated his dates to Ajay Gnanamuthu’s film and also to Mani Ratnam’s period war drama based on the novel Ponniyin Selvan.
