Vikram to quit acting? What’s happening?

Vikram, who was last seen on screen in Kadaram Kondan, is contemplating giving up his acting career, claimed some reports. However, the star’s team has clarified on this, by saying that he would continue to act.

A statement from his team said, “This is to inform you that a news report published by a leading media house on Actor Chiyaan Vikram sir is absolutely false and completely baseless.”

“Shocked to see this and wondering how people can publish such false news without bothering to check with official source. Please check with us before publishing any reports.Chiyaan Vikram sir is currently doing Director Ajay Gnanamuthu’s Cobra, followed by Mani Rathnam sir’s movie and again a movie with Seven Screen Studios Lalith sir itself,” it said further.

“He is so busy, with so many projects and the above mentioned ones are just a few. Request all news channels and media friends to please check and  clarify with official sources  before publishing any news”, added the statement.

Since the release of Kadaram Kondan last year, Vikram got himself completely involved in launching his son’s career via Adithya Varma, the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy. Following the film’s failure, reports emerged that Vikram will take a break from acting and put together projects for his son.

The actor is currently working in the film Cobra but apparently, there were speculations that the actor is not doing the film but is interested to move on to other projects. Vikram is also busy with Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan.

Previously, Kamal Haasan has played 10 different parts in Dasavathaaram. If the news reports are to be believed then Chiyaan Vikram is all set to break Kamal Haasan’s record with Cobra.
