Vikram movie review

Story:

A masked gang murders policemen including Kalidoss Jayaram. Similarly, Kalidoss’s foster father Kamal Haasan is also killed by the gang.

Fahadh Faasil is appointed as the special officer to track down this notorious gang. While he narrows down on Narain, the murders continue to happen.

He also crosses path with   who is a drug dealer.

Later Fahadh comes to know about the gang, Kamal and the many other secrets. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Kamal comes as Karnan in the first half and as Vikram in the second half.

He portrays a drunk man who is worried about his son and grandson.

He takes the action route in the second half. Kamal makes a strong back with this role.

Fahadh Faasil is impressive as the investigative officer.

Vijay Sethupathi as usual shines in his role.

Rest of the cast including Narain, Gayathri, Maina and Shivani have done their part well.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has made the movie based on drugs.

There is a right mix of emtoion, action and sentiment to impress anyone.

He has extracted what he wanted from the actors.

Song and BGM by Anirudh are impressive. Girish Gangadharan’s camerawork is a major highlight of the film.
