Director Siva is known as the favourite filmmaker of Ajith, as the former made four films- Veeram, Vedhalam, Vivegam and Viswasam- with the latter.
Now the lattest buzz in Kollywood is that Sathya Jyothi Films is holding talks with director Siva who recently delivered the blockbuster film Viswasam to direct a possible film with Vijay.
It is to be noted that it was Sathya Jyothi Films which bankrolled the last two projects of Siva- Vivegam and Viswasam.
Meanwhile, there is also a talk that Siva might also join hands with Ajith again in 2020.
In the meantime, Nayanthara is all set to join the sets of Vijay’s upcoming film (Thalapathy 63), which is being directed by Atlee and produced by AGS Entertainment, in March.
The shoot for the sports film began last month and some of the crucial scenes are being canned at Binny Mills, Chennai. Interestingly, Vijay and Nayanthara are coming together for a film after a long gap. They had earlier worked together in Prabhu Deva’s Villu (2009). Nayanthara and Atlee had teamed up for Raja Rani.
The movie, in which Vijay is said to be playing a sportsperson, is scheduled to hit the screens for Deepavali 2019. Music is by AR Rahman. Cinematography is by GK Vishnu.
Vivekh, Kathir and Yogi Babu play key roles in this flick, which also has popular comedian Robo Shankar’s daughter in a key role.
After shaking legs with Vijay for an item number in Sivakasi and sharing the screen space with him in Villu, Nayanthara is now all set to play the actor’s love interest in his upcoming film to be directed by Atlee.
“Lately, Nayan has been focussing on roles with a difference. This is one such role which will give him ample scope to perform. Hence she accepted to do it,” sources say.
