Vijayakanth, Dhanush get bomb threats, police find out caller

An anonymous person called the police control room twice on Tuesday and threatened to set a bomb at the house of actor Dhanush in Abiramapuram and also at the residence of Vijayakanth in Virugambakkam.

Police officials took the case seriously and found that both phone calls were by the same person. It was found that the threat calls were made by the same mentally ill person who had made a fake bomb threat call to actor Surya a few months ago.

It is to be noted that a couple of weeks back, actor Suriya’s office in Chennai also received a hoax bomb threat. A couple of months back, a mentally challenged minor boy issued hoax bomb threat to Rajinikanth’s residence.

After knowing about the minor boy’s condition, Rajinikanth offered to help the family financially and he also promised to help with the boy’s educational expenses.

Meanwhile, Dhanush posted a pic of himself passionately holding the movie camera and writing “ONE TRUE LOVE ❤❤❤ missed you so much”. Fans have been moved by Dhanush’s gesture and have poured an ocean of likes for the pic. The likes count is nearing a staggering five lakhs at the time of this writing.

It’s no secret that Dhanush loves cinema and is into several aspects of filmmaking including screenwriting, direction, production, lyric writing, singing and experimenting with scripts that few other heroes would touch.

Dhanush’s Tamil action thriller Jagame Thandhiram was initially supposed to hit screens in October this year. In May, Dhanush announced that Jagame Thandhiram will release in theatres “after the jagam heals” from coronavirus. Dhanush co-stars with Aishwarya Lekshmi and James Cosmo in the movie, which has been directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
