Even as Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi getting ready hit the screens in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and other areas soon, the latest is that film might soon be remade in Tamil.
The buzz is that the remake will feature actor Vijay in the lead. Interestingly, Vijay has earlier acted in the Tamil remakes of Mahesh Babu’s Okkadu and Pokkiri, which were titled Ghilli and Pokkiri in Tamil.
According to sources, the film’s story is about Rishi, a millionaire businessman, who returns to his homeland, where he becomes the champion of poor and downtrodden farmers. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, Maharshi features Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde in central roles.
