Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja gets release date
Maharaja, the upcoming Tamil film starring actor Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role, is set to hit theatres on June 14, the makers of the film announced on social media on Wednesday. The film marks the actor’s 50th as a lead actor.
Maharaja is written and directed by filmmaker Nithilan Saminathan, who made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed Kurangu Bommai.
Apart from Vijay Sethupathi, Maharaja’s cast comprises Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Natty (Natraj), Bharathiraja, Abhirami, Mamta Mohandas, Singampuli, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Vinoth Sagar, Boys Manikandan, Kalki, Sachana Namidass, and others.
Maharaja will mark Anurag’s third Tamil film as an actor after Imaikaa Nodigal and Leo.
Backed by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy, the makers of Maharaja recently released an intriguing trailer for the film.
