Vijay Sethupathi’s Baththa team reveals grand release plans
Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming Tamil film Baththa has been scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 1.
The film is presented by director Atlee and Star Studio18 and is jointly produced by A for Apple Studios and Cine1 Studios Production. It marks the third collaboration between Vijay Sethupathi and filmmaker Balaji Tharaneetharan.
The pair previously worked together on Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Seethakathi, both of which earned attention for their distinctive storytelling.
Baththa also brings together Vijay Sethupathi and Atlee again after their collaboration on the pan-India action film Jawan. While Sethupathi had a significant role in Jawan, he takes the lead in Baththa, which is being presented by Atlee.
Lijomol Jose, known for her work in Jai Bhim, plays the female lead. The technical team includes music composer Sai Abhyankkar, cinematographer Selvakumar SK, editor R Kalaivanan and production designer T Muthuraj. Ashwin Murugan serves as co-producer.
The film is produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, Alok Jain and Ajit Andhare. With Sethupathi and Tharaneetharan reuniting after their earlier successes, Baththa has already generated considerable interest ahead of its October release.
