Vijay Sethupathi’s character in Rajinikanth’s Petta has been revealed. The actor’s character name is Jithu in this film and he’s seen holding on to a smoking gun while his body is wrapped in a shawl.
Vijay Sethupathi plays the antagonist in this film and his first look as Jithu is out. The actor is seen holding a gun with a cruel laughter on his face.
In the background, there is a figure in the shadows walking towards Jithu and it looks like Rajinikanth. The same scene was also featured in the first motion poster of the film. The tone of the poster, with hues of red and blue, adds more drama to Sethupathi’s first look.
“Rajinikanth sir’s energy is contagious. If you be with him for half an hour, you will start speaking like him. In fact, it was challenging for me to be myself on the sets,” Vijay Sethupathi said.
While it is rumoured Vijay Sethupathi plays the antagonist, neither Vijay nor the makers have confirmed it. Helmed by Karthik Subbaraj, Petta marks the director’s first collaboration with Rajinikanth.
The first single, ‘Marana Mass’, from Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Petta was released on Monday. Just hours before the song’s release, the makers had put out a sneak-peek of it’s making, creating a buzz for the song.
Meanwhile, a grand audio launch function will be held on Sunday which will be aired on Sun TV.
