Vijay Sethupathi opens up on Baththa success, says he wants director to reap the rewards
Actor Vijay Sethupathi has credited director Balaji Tharaneetharan’s vision and perseverance while speaking about the positive response to Baththa.
Addressing the film’s success gathering, Sethupathi said he had backed Balaji because of the filmmaker’s earlier work and wanted Baththa to bring him the recognition and success he deserved after years of struggle.
The actor encouraged the director to continue making ambitious films and wished him greater success in the future.
Sethupathi also thanked the film’s producers and actor-director Atlee for supporting the project and helping take it to audiences.
Responding to comments that his performances appear effortless, Sethupathi said acting involves considerable preparation and hard work. He added that he constantly asks questions and tries to learn more with every film. Baththa, which reached theatres on October 2, has received largely positive reactions from audiences and critics.
