Yes, you read it right. The next venture Vijay Sethupathi has got a unique name- Junga. It will be helmed by Gokul of Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara (IAB) fame.
“Vijay Sethupathi and Gokul have been wanting to do another wacky and interesting film like IAB… Junga will be a lot more quirkier and interesting than IAB they felt,” sources said.
The movie is a romcom. The makers are considering Amy Jackson for the heroine, while Sabu Joseph will be the editor and Siddharth Vipin is scoring the music.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi is said to be playing a tribal leader in his upcoming film Karuppan, which is being directed by Panneerselvam of Renigunta fame.
At the same time, there is also a buzz that it is not in Karuppan, but Vijay Sethupathi will play the tribal leader in a film featuring Gautham Karthik in the lead. It will be directed by debutant Arumugakumar.
“Vijay Sethupathi loved the script. He’s a versatile actor and can play any type of role. In this one, he will be playing the role of a tribal leader,” sources said.
Kumki girl Lakshmi Menon is out of Karuppan in which she was set to star with Vijay Sethupathi for the second time after Rekka. She has been replaced with young actress Tanya, who made her debut with Sasikumar in Bale Vellaiyatheva.
