Vijay Sethupathi becomes Chief Motivating Officer of Tamil Thalaivas

On behalf of the Tamil Thalaivas, a press meet is being held today to unveil its new team for the sixth edition of VIVO Pro Kabaddi League.

At the event to be attended by captain Ajay Thakur, coach E. Bhaskaran and CEO Viren D’Silva, they would also be unveiling the new team jersey and announcing Vijay Sethupathi’s association with the Tamil Thalaivas.

It is learnt that Vijay Sethupathi is very much interested in the sport and hence agreed to be part of the team as its chief motivating officer.

Tamil Thalaivas is a Kabaddi team based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu that plays in the Pro Kabaddi League. The team is owned by Nimmagadda Prasad and former Indian cricket captain Sachin Tendulkar, Actors Allu Arjun and Ram Charan and also Allu Aravind.

Actor Kamal Hasan is the brand ambassador of the team. Tamil Thalaivas play their home matches at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Chennai), Tamil Nadu.

Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is a professional kabaddi league in India, based on the format of the Indian Premier League T20 cricket tournament. The fifth edition of the tournament was played in 2017 with 12 franchises representing various cities in India.
Representing the state of Tamil Nadu this season, the Chennai based kabaddi team has been branded as ‘Tamil Thalaivas’ and is owned by Nimmagadda Prasad and Sachin Tendulkar.
