Vijay fans are in a state of joy since Tuesday night, after their ‘thalapathy’ dropped hints about his political entry at the audio launch of Sarkar.
Speaking at the grand event, Vijay not only made a statement that could hint at his political entry but even gave an elaborate speech, much to the surprise of his fans.
When the anchor asked Vijay if he would be seen playing the role of a chief minister in the film, he gave a negative response.
When another question soon followed on whether he had plans to become a real-life CM, Vijay replied with a politically-laced statement that may hint at his possible entry into politics.
“If I become the Chief Minister, then I won’t just act like one, but will do my job with sincerity,” he said amid thunderous applause.
Vijay compared Sarkar to his previous hit ‘Mersal’ saying, “the special thing about Sarkar is that ‘Mersal’ had a bit of politics while the politics shown in Sarkar will be ‘mersal’.
He added: “People will contest in the elections to form government but we have formed our Sarkar (government) already and now we are going to contest in the elections.”
