Vijay fans upset, but Master producer cheers them up

Vijay’s fans have been upset since the actor’s upcoming movie Master is not releasing in theatres. The movie, which was slated to release in theatres Thursday, couldn’t do it due to coronavirus lockdown.

All films that were set to release this month, including Master, have been pushed back to a later date. But the makers of Master still had something special planned for Thalapathy Vijay’s fans on the film’s initial release date.

XB Film Creators, released a new poster of Master which had the lines: ‘Lockdown shouldn’t knock down our spirits! Master will meet you soon…’

They also posted: “We miss you, just like how you miss us!  Hoping that a master-mind finds an antidote and put an end to Corona! We’ll come back stronger nanbaa. Stay home, Stay Safe. #Master #StaySafe.”

Meanwhile, director Rathnakumar of Aadai and Meyaadha Maan fame, who is one of the writers of Master, took to Twitter to express his disappointment.

In his tweet, he revealed that he has been receiving a lot of messages from fans who were eagerly anticipating the film’s release. He also mentioned that the team of Master faced a lot of challenges ranging from air pollution to income tax raids and coronavirus outbreak.

His tweet read, “#Master would have released by now if #CoronaOutbreak didn’t happen. Can see lot of sad tweets, As a fan it hurts big. Pollution, Protests, Raid & now this. Anyway we will have the last laugh. Survival First. Celebrations Later. Suddenly this selfie looks Nostalgic.”

Alongside Vijay, the film also stars Malavika Mohanan and Vijay Sethupathi in prominent roles. Vijay Sethupathi will play the role of the main antagonist in the film. Andrea Jeremiah will also play an important supporting role in the film.

According to various reports, Master will finally be released in theatres sometime in May of 2020, after the end of the Coronavirus lockdown. However, these reports have not been confirmed and no official announcement has been made.

The makers of the film have been unveiled musical videos from the movie. Five out of eight songs have been unveiled so far, the latest being ‘Polakatum Para Para’, which builds Vijay Sethupathi’s character.
