Vijay expresses concern about Chennai floods
Vijay has shared a heartfelt statement on his social media page expressing deep concerns about the prevailing flood situation in Chennai.
“Due to the heavy rains of Cyclone Michaung women, children and the elderly are under a lot of distress in Chennai and its suburbs. There are reports that thousands of people suffer without water, food and other basic supplies. There are still many voices on social media asking for help to rescue from the flooded areas,” said Vijay.
In the statement, he also requested members of his fan clubs to join the rescue efforts initiated by the government.
“At this time, I kindly request all the members of the (Vijay) Makkal Iyakkam to volunteer themselves to the rescue operations carried out by the government to help the people in the affected areas,” he added.
