After Thimiru Pidichavan, Vijay Antony is all set to don the khaki again… this time, for a multi-starrer that also has Jai and Sathyaraj in the leads.
Titled Khakhee, the film, directed by A Senthilkumar (who had earlier wielded the megaphone for Vaaimai, will be both an action entertainer and an emotional drama.
Produced by Open Theater, Manoj Paramahamsa will be composing the music for the film. The principal shoot of Khakhee has commenced with an auspicious pooja event today in Chennai.
Shabbir is composing the music and Vairamuthu is penning the lyrics. Besides Khakhee, Vijay Antony also has Kolaikaaran, Thamilarasan, and Agni Siragugal in the pipeline.
Senthilkumar says, “The film is about how the khaki uniform changes the lives of a few characters — in both good and bad ways. Vijay Antony plays a macho cop, and Sathyaraj, who plays his father-in-law, will be seen as a cop in the lower rungs.”
He adds: “Jai’s character is that of an athlete who comes to India from abroad. In addition to action, the film will also be high on emotions, dealing with the relationships in a large family — between a father-in-law and his son-in-law, a husband and a wife, a father and his daughter, and so on.”
