Ever since he became an actor, most of the films starring Vijay Antony were being produced by his home banner Vijay Antony Film Corporation headed by his wife Fatima.
However now, it has emerged that Vijay Antony has decided to quit production. Source say he has taken this decision since production gives him too much pressure that he has to look after release issues, settling debts, negotiating with distributors and more such tedious tasks.
It is learnt that Vijay Antony has now decided to only focus on his acting career and hence, he is signing films for other producers.
Reports stated that Kolaikaaran is likely to be the last production venture of Vijay Antony. It is to be noted that his upcoming film Agni Siragugal with Arun Vijay is being produced by T Siva of Amma Creations.
Meanwhile, his first film as police officer, Thimiru Pudichavan, has hit the screens on Friday and has won positive reviews.
Thimiru Pudichavan is directed by Ganeshaa and produced by Vijay Antony’s wife Fatima Vijay Antony under his home production banner Vijay Antony Film Corporation.
The film also has Nivetha Pethuraj and Daniel Balaji playing lead roles along with Vijay Antony. Ganesha had said: “Thimiru Pudichavan is all about how juvenile criminals become a threat to the society. Vijay Antony sir gave me the chance despite knowing that my debut film was a failure. He also advised to cast lesser known actors so that they will get an identity in the industry”.
