After Sivakasi and Villu, Vijay and Nayanthara have come together for a new film. The yet untitled flick will be directed by Altee, who earlier made Theri and Mersal with Vijay.
According to sources, the principal shoot of Thalapathy 63 will begin after Pongal holidays. They say Atlee is planning to kick-start the first schedule of the film on January 21 in Chennai.
Touted to be a sports-based entertainer, Nayanthara plays the romantic interest of Vijay in the film. A R Rahman, the Oscar-Grammy winner, will score the music.
Recently, Atlee was in Los Angeles, hunting for locations to start the movie. Fondly called as Thalapathy-63, the film is to be produced by AGS Entertainment.
After shaking legs with Vijay for an item number in Sivakasi and sharing the screen space with him in Villu, Nayanthara is now all set to play the actor’s love interest in his upcoming film to be directed by Atlee.
“Lately, Nayan has been focussing on roles with a difference. This is one such role which will give him ample scope to perform. Hence she accepted to do it,” sources say.
It is to be noted that Nayanthara was the heroine in Atlee’s debut film Raja Rani. Yogi Babu and comedy actor Vivek are also said to be playing key roles in this flick which is slated for Deepavali release.
Producer Archana Kalpathi tweeted: “A heroine needs to be Strong, Smart and add Strength to the Story AGS is super happy to announce that our very own #Nayan has come on board #Thalapathy63.”
Archana of AGS Entertainment added: “Like all fans I am super excited to see our #Thalapathy #Nayan combo on screen after a longtime @Atlee_dir #Ags.”
