Vijay-64 film takes legal action against those behind pictures, videos leak

Initially shocked after photos and videos from the sets of Vijay’s upcoming film were leaked on social media, makers of the movie have now initiated legal action.

Action has been taken under Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) by the producers of Thalapathy-64 or Vijay-64, and based on their complalint, Twitter has taken down posts of the leaked images and has also sent notice to its users.

“Hello, The following material has been removed from your account in response to the DMCA takedown notice copied at the bottom of this email,” said the notice.

It added: “If you wish to contest this removal, you may seek retractions from the original reporter, or file a counter notification. Reactions are not guaranteed, and must be submitted by the original reporter to copyright@twitter.com.”

The notice said further: “You can request a retraction by using the reporter’s contact information found in the copy of the original DMCA notice located at the bottom of this email.”

The shooting of the movie is in progress in New Delhi. It is said to be a quickie which will be ready for release by April 2020. Most of the actors including Vijay has given bulk dates to the film so there won’t much gap between each schedule. As Vijay Sethupathi is busy with several projects in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, his portions will be canned from December and they are planning to complete his scenes in one go.

Malavika Mohanan has been roped in to pair up with Vijay in this entertainer and the star cast also includes Andrea Jeremiah, Antony Varghese, Shantanu Bhagyaraj, Sriman, Srinath, Sanjeev Gouri Kishan, Brigida and VJ Ramya in supporting roles.
