Vidya Balan makes sexual charge against Tamil film director

Bollywood top actress Vidya Balan, who recently made her Tamil debut with Ajith starrer Nerkonda Paarvai, has made shocking allegations against a Tamil director and producer.

In an interview, she said that a Kollywood director was keen on meeting her in the hotel room. Though Vidya insisted to meet him at Coffee Shop, the director wanted to meet in her room.

She later kept open the door of her room and started talking to him which disappointed the filmmaker who then walked out.

She also said that one time her parents had been in Chennai and met a producer who suggested to them that their daughter did not look like a heroine.

“I felt ugly…I felt like sh*t for months and I don’t think I looked at myself in the mirror… I didn’t like what I saw because I thought I was ugly…For the longest time, I did not forgive that man, but today, thanks to that I realised that I have to love and accept myself the way I am,” she said.

On criticisms, she said, “Someone wrote that ‘Dress like this, she has no business of getting out, she should stay indoors’. That had affected me so much that for the longest time, I would get dreams of it and get really angry. Today, I don’t let the noise get to me.”

On her web series on Indira Gandhi, she said, “When I think of powerful women that (Indira Gandhi) is the first name which comes to my mind. I am very party agnostic. I have nothing to do with any political party. This (web series) is not about any political party, this is about an individual who goes beyond the party.”
