Vetrimaaran to direct Shah Rukh Khan?

Though there were reports that director Atlee would helm Shah Rukh Khan’s next film, there were claims recently that Vetrimaaran would direct SRK. This was made after the director met the actor in Mumbai and the photo went viral.

Following this, the Polladhavan and Aadukalam maker has come out with an explanation. “I am not doing any film with Shah Rukh Khan. He watched Asuran and wanted to meet me after that. Nothing else.”

Vetrimaaran is currently helming comedian-cum-actor Soori’s upcoming film bankrolled by Elred Kumar under RS Infotainment banner. Believed to be based on the life of a famous Tamil poet, lyricist, and author, Nagarajan Muthukumar, the yet-to-be-titled film will go on floors sometime in November.

Vetrimaaran is riding high on the success of his recently-released flick, Asuran. Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, the revenge-drama starred Dhanush, Manju Warrier, Pasupathy and Aadukalam Naren in the lead roles.

Chiyaan Vikram is expected to collaborate with Vetrimaaran for an upcoming film. As per latest reports, the Asuran director who will be working next with actor and comedian Soori on a film will be directing a film with Vikram.

Producer Mukesh Ratilal Mehta at the audio launch of Adithya Varma hinted at bankrolling a film featuring Vikram and Dhruv Vikram. Vetrimaaran saw tremendous success in his recent film titled Asuran with Dhanush. The film Asuran got a thundering response from the fans and film audience and the film also became the highest grosser at the Malaysian box office.
