RK Nagar, a political satire film directed by Saravana Rajan and produced by Venkat Prabhu’s Black Ticket Company banner and Shraddha Entertainment, was set to hit the screens on April 12.
However, it has now been postponed. Venkat Prabhu has announced that same on his social networking page through a video. The film is expected to release only after the elections which is set to happen on April 18.
Meanwhile, in his recent video interview, Venkat Prabhu has said that it’s too early to talk about his film with Thala Ajith but once everything gets confirmed, he will come up with an official announcement.
Venkat Prabhu and Ajith had earlier worked together in the blockbuster film Mankatha. Venkat Prabhu also confirmed that his next film Maanaadu with STR will begin in May and the actor is getting into shape in London.
He said that just like Gautham Vasudev Menon gave an image makeover for STR in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya, Maanaadu will change the existing image of the actor. The story of the Maanaadu is set against the backdrop of a political gathering.
Ajith and Venkat Prabhu had earlier worked in Mankatha, an action entertainer. The film had an ensemble cast including Ajith, Arjun, Trisha, Anjali, Andrea Jeremiah, Lakshmi Raai, Vaibhav Reddy, Premgi Amaren and Mahat Raghavendra.
