Velu Prabhakaran was arrested defaming Lord Muruga

Film director Velu Prabhakaran has been arrested by the Central Crime Branch of the Greater Chennai police for his comments on Lord Muruga and Hindu beliefs.

Based on a complaint by office-bearers of Hindu organisations, police arrested him. Only recently, two members of YouTube channel Karuppar Koottam were arrested for denigrating Kandha Sashti Kavasam, it may be recalled.

A few months ago, superstar Rajinikanth’s comment about EV Ramaswamy (‘Periyar’) had sparked controversy, and the star hesitated to apologize for his comments.

However, a statement released by Raghava Lawrence stated that Rajini was the one who helped Velu Prabhakaran to release the film on Periyar. Velu Prabhakaran too has opened up about Rajinikanth’s help to him in a recent interview with an online portal.
