Veeran movie review

Story:

When Hip Hop Tamizha Aadhi is 15 years old, he is struck by lighting and knocked unconscious into a short coma.

A few days later he awakes to find that after being struck by the lighting he now has been gifted with the superpower to control the five elements of the Earth.

After many years of staying in Singapore, one day he suddenly has an intuition that a massive threat is about to strike his native village, prompting him to go to his native village.

Once he reaches his native village, he notices that there is a nuclear pipeline project initiated by a corporate company constructed underground throughout many villages and is now being constructed in his village.

He comes to realize that due to this nuclear pipeline project, a big accident is going to occur, so he tries to explain and make the villagers of his native place understand the consequences of the nuclear pipeline project.

But the villagers are unable to understand what he is explaining and his concern regarding the project. Was Aadhi successfully in stopping in project and what happens next forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

The storyline of director ARK Saravanan is the biggest strength of the movie. There is no lag in the screenplay. He has handled comedy, action and emotion in an effective manner.

Aadhi has delivered a stunning performance. He is impressive both as Kumaran and Veeran. He excels in the action sequence. Aadheera as the female lead is impressive and has done her part well.

Sasi as Aadhi’s friend has done a decent job. Vinay has limited screenspace but creates the much needed impact for the character. Badhri as the second villain leaves a mark on the audience.

Rest of the cast including Chella, Bose Venkat and Chinni Jayanth have all done their part well. Deepak D Mohan’s camerawork is brilliant. Songs by Hip Hop Aadhi are average, but the BGM stands out.

Rating: 3.3/5
