Varisu non-theatrical rights sold for a whopping price
The shooting of Varisu is going on at a swift pace in Hyderabad. Recently, a clip from the shooting spot featuring Vijay and Prabhu was leaked.
On September 12, the hashtag #Varisu was trending on Twitter. Reports suggest that the film’s non-theatrical rights, including the Hindi dubbing rights, have been sold for a whopping price of Rs 150 crore.
According to trade reports, this number could go up to Rs 200 crore for his 67th film, which is fondly called Thalapathy 67. The film is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Varisu is an emotional entertainer directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The screenplay is jointly written by Vamshi Paidipally, Hari and Ahishor Solomon.
Apart from Vijay, Varisu also features Rashmika Mandanna, R Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Shaam, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Yogi Babu, Jayasudha and Sangeetha Krish in important roles. Produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film has music by S Thaman, cinematography by Karthik Palani and editing by Praveen KL.
