In less than 24 hours after the wedding of Vanitha Vijayakumar with Peter Paul, a controversy erupted over it, his first wife Elizabeth Helen, has made a complaint against him at Vadapalani police station.
She has alleged that he got married for the second time without getting a divorce from her. She mentioned that they have two children and have been separated for the past seven years.
Coming to the defence of her third husband, Vanitha said Elizabeth threatened them to give Rs one crore and when they did not give, she has filed the complaint.
Vanitha Vijayakumar — actor known for her appearances in Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu movies — got hitched to her fiance filmmaker Peter Paul on Saturday. The ceremony was attended by close friends and family.
Before the wedding, she had said in a statement, “When he asked for my hand in marriage, I was speechless (deep inside, I was screaming yes though). I told him my children need to approve. And when he spoke to them, they screamed yes. Tears welled up in my eyes when my daughters said this was the best thing that has happened to me, and they want him in their lives as well.”
As for Vanitha’s marriage with Peter, the bride looked stunning in a white colour gown and the groom looked dashing in a three piece suit. The couple was seen celebrating with champagne bottles and exchanging kisses as they were pronounced man and wife.
They also cut a wedding cake and fed it to each other as their adorable moments got captured on camera. Since the coronavirus scare is looming large, the event was a private affair and was attended by only the couple’s family and close friends.
