The condition of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee remains critical and he continues to be on advanced life-support system.
AIIMS said in a statement today: “Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s condition continues to be the same. He is critical and on life-support system.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the AIIMS today to enquire about the condition of Vajpayee. Congress president Rahul Gandhi, BJP chief Amit Shah and Union Health Minister J P Nadda, were also at AIIMS.
Meanwhile, DMK working president M K Stalin today wished Vajpayee a speedy recovery. Stalin said in a tweet: “Extremely concerned to hear about
the health condition of Vajpayee.”
Stalin, also leader of opposition in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, added: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the senior leader and we join them in wishing him a speedy recovery.”
The 93-year-old Vajpayee’s condition remains critical and he continues to be on advanced life-support system, the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) said.
