Story:

A film crew finds the dead body the heroine at the shooting spot in Kanyakumari.

Police start investigating the case, when the movie’s director gets a call from the heroine.

She says that she is fine and has returned back to Bangalore.

The case takes a new turn when the cops find that the body is of a 17-year-old girl called Velonie.

This case then gets transferred to S J Suryah, a day before his planned vacation with his family.

As he starts investigating the case, Suryah gets too much involved which also causes trouble in his personal life.

Was Suryah able to solve the murder mystery, why was Velonie murdered forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Filmmaer duo Pushkar – Gayatri has delivered Vadhandhi with a strong screenplay that keeps the audience interested with each episode.

When the audience think that they have narrowed down on the murderer, they are in for a surprise.

Director Andrew Louis has ensured that the writing is effectively replicated on screen.

Though the pacing of the series seems to be a little slow, it does not affect the interest created by the screenplay.

Casting is one of the major strength of the series. S J Suryah delivers a subdued and calm performance.

It is refreshing to see him in such a role and this can be rated one among his best  performances in the recent times.

Laila makes her presence felt with her performance. Sanjana is good in her role as well.

Rest of the cast including Vivek Prasanna, Aruvi Balaji have all delivered what was expected from them.

Simon King’s music suits well with the mood of the series.  Saravanan Ramasamy’s camerawork is effective.

Rating: 3.4/5
