V3 movie review
Story:
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is a former IAS officer. She is deputed to investigate a case in which five youngsters are encountered for raping and killing a young girl.
Varalaxmi starts investigating the case and makes some startling revealations.
Why were the youngsters murdered, what actually happened to the girls, Was Varalaxmi able to find the actual culprits forms the crux of the story.
Analysis:
The movie speaks about the important issue of sexual abuses and the way in which how these cases are handled.
Director Amudhavanan has conveyed a strong message through the movie and has done his research which is evident on screen.
He has not made any compromises for commercial aspects and has stayed true to the genre.
It is one woman show all the way, as Varalaxmi shines in her role as the former IAS officer.
The way she carries out the investigation and unravels the truth with every interrogation is really impressive.
He has understood the depth of the story, the importance of her character and has delivered a top notch performance.
Paavana as the victim creates the much needed impact for the core plot. Esther Anil as her sister delivers an emotional performance.
Rest of the cast have delivered what was expected from them.
The movie is technically sound as well. Allen Sebastian’s music and Siva Prabhu’s camerawork compliments the movie well.
