Udhayanidhi Stalin arrested following contrversial remarks

DMK leader and Leader of the Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin was detained by Chennai Police today after an FIR was registered over remarks he allegedly made during a public meeting related to the Cauvery water dispute. The police action followed complaints alleging that his comments on Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay and actress Trisha were objectionable and defamatory.

According to reports, the controversy began after Udhayanidhi Stalin delivered a speech that drew criticism from political opponents, who claimed that certain remarks were inappropriate.
