After Trisha did not attend the audio launch of her film Paramapatham Vilayattu, a couple of producers lashed out at her and even warned her.
T Siva, who is one of the members managing the Producers Council, said at the event, “When actresses are part of a big-hero film, it is possible to promote the film on the face value of the hero and not worry about the heroine not coming for the promotions.
Whoever it is they should have the thought of standing by the side of the producer who has placed trust and paid them a big salary and made a film with them.
If that doesn’t happen, it is very unfortunate, because there is no one else who can promote the film as they are all new or unrecognised faces. It provides a life to the producer, director and the technicians.”
He added: “If Trisha doesn’t promote the film, then we’ll have to take necessary action through the Producer’s Council, and she will be urged to forego a part of her salary as compensation.”
Veteran producer K Rajan, who was one among the many dignitaries to congratulate composer Amrish on his work in the film, took the opportunity to ask comedian Yogi Babu to complete his dubbing for a film, which has remained in the cans for too long now.
Meanwhile, fans of Trisha have been supporting the actress on social media and posting comments backing her.
