Trisha spends a scary evening

Trisha recently spent an evening with producer Archana Kalpathi and their friend Nirupama watching the Hollywood supernatural psychological horror film Obsession. Trisha reposted an Instagram Story originally shared by Archana, which featured a photo of the trio after the screening.

Sharing the picture, Archana expressed her excitement about the film and joked that it was difficult to tell whether the movie itself was frightening or if they had scared one another during the experience. Trisha later reposted the story, adding a playful floss-dance GIF.

The outing comes shortly after Archana spoke warmly about her long-standing friendship with Trisha. In a recent interview following the success of Blast, Archana described Trisha as one of the most important people in her life and explained that their friendship predates their careers in the film industry. According to Archana, they belong to the same age group and continue to share a close circle of school and college friends.

She also noted that despite their strong personal bond, they have rarely collaborated professionally. Discussing public controversies involving Trisha, Archana said their friendship group largely stays focused on personal growth and professional commitments rather than outside distractions.

Praising Trisha’s work ethic, Archana highlighted the actor’s longevity and success in the industry. She credited Trisha’s achievements to consistent hard work, discipline, dedication and professional values, noting that the actress continues to be associated with several major box-office successes, including the upcoming film Karuppu.

Although Archana has not produced a film starring Trisha in a lead role, the actress did make a special appearance in the song “Matta” from The Greatest of All Time (2024), the Vijay-Venkat Prabhu film for which Archana served as creative producer.
