Bollywood flick Piku starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irfan Khan was huge hit when it got released in 2015.
The latest buzz is that the film is being remade in Tamil and Trisha will be playing Deepika Padukone’s character in the movie.
The film is expected to be directed by a leading director. An official announcement of the project is expected soon. It may be noted that the actress is part of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan and also has several movies in her kitty, including Garjanai, Sadhuranga Vettai-2, Paramapadha Vilayatu, Raangi and 1818.
Trisha is an adventure enthusiast with her interests extending to scuba diving and trekking. Horse riding is the new addition in the list.
Trisha, who is the UNICEF celebrity advocate, recently interacted with adolescents and young people who are champions in stopping early marriage and ending violence against children by raising awareness in the community.
She said, “I am thrilled to meet the young champions who raised awareness in their community on the dangers and long-term impact of child marriage.
They worked with their peers to create a safety net to protect children from getting physically and sexually abused. These are trying times due to COVID-19, but it has not affected the children.”
