Director A R Murugadoss, who recently started shooting for superstar Rajinikanth’s Darbar, has penned the script for Trisha’s next.
To be produced by Lyca Productions, the film will be directed by Saravanan of Engeyum Eppothum and Ivan Vera Mathiri fame. As Saravanan is recovering from a fatal road accident, Murugadoss encouraged him to return back to filmmaking with this new film and also gave away his own script to his former associate.
Saravanan made an impressive debut with Engeyum Epodhum, which came out in 2011. He later directed films like Vallinam and Ivan Vera Madhiri, which didn’t make a mark as his debut venture.
He last directed Chakravyuha in Kannada in 2016 and was missing from action for the past three years.
Trisha is said to have recently given her nod, and the makers are in the process finalising the rest of the cast and crew.
“Trisha is already on board. However, the pre-production work has just started and it will take another 3-4 months before the project can go on the floors. The film will feature no male lead and the story will be centered on Trisha’s character,” sources said.
Trisha is currently busy shooting for her yet-untitled action adventure film with Simran and director Sumanth Radhakrishnan. Trisha also has a few films including Garjanai, Paramapadham Vilayattu, and Sathuranga Vettai 2 in the pipeline.
